At this time we are particularly looking for the following positions:

 

A Technical Superintendent who is responsible for the technical operation of a group of owned and managed vessels. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing & organizing vessel maintenance and technical issues with the prime objective to maintain vessel operational efficiency within the Safety, Quality & Environmental standards.

  • Ensuring that all necessary operational parameters are monitored and reacted on where necessary.

  • Ensuring all vessel incoming reporting is as required. Monitor and maintain the vessel planned maintenance system.

  • Responsible for administration of Hull and Machinery claims, P&I claims (other than crew & cargo).

  • organizing, preparing & reviewing vessel maintenance budget and CAR requests where necessary. Ensuring that the vessels kept adequately stocked in an efficient manner.

  • Vessel inspections, condition assessment, technical guidance and technical support, organizing and preparing technical projects/drydock specifications & invoices.

  • Responsible for technical interviews and assisting in the selection of certified and qualified technical staff. Ensuring department staff development is in line with company operational and cultural philosophy.

Chief Engineer Certification/Degree or equivalent, and 2 to 3 years experience as Chief Engineer. Naval architectural knowledge is a plus.

  • Planning & organizing: good time management skills, ability to identify and act on priorities

  • Analytical problem solving (familiar with root cause analysis

  • Communication skills: good written and verbal skills (passing on information) Interpersonal skills : self-motivated and sound level of discipline, leadership skills, focus on human relations & motivation, showing initiative & decision-making capabilities, handling difficult situations

  • Good computer literacy - proficiency in the use of MS Office (specifically excel)

  • Flexibility

European residential status is essential.
