Ship Management: performance with integrity GWF Management Services (GWFMS) undertakes to supply qualified and experienced officers and crew with full ITF cover. The senior officers are drawn from GWFMS’s own pool of permanent employed staff, based in Antwerp Belgium. GWFMS also maintains a small pool of Junior officers with the remainder coming from our partner in the Philippines. Pre-joining tests and assessments are conducted on all agency-provided crew members before joining every vessel and includes important areas such as experience, health, conduct and commitment. Technical and safety training is conducted on a frequent and regular basis using a mixture of professionally made training videos and computer-based training aids to ensure a high level of competency. We also provide seagoing places for post nautical school cadets to allow them to gain sea-time and experience within the industry. The performance of officers and crew members is fully evaluated during their time onboard by the Head of Department. The Master and Chief Engineer are reported on using a competency model assessment generated by the vessel's Superintendent every 6 months. The Drug and Alcohol Policy is simple and strict. No alcohol may be brought on board, sold, kept or consumed onboard and crew members must have a BAC of less than 0.04% on boarding the vessel. We have zero tolerance for drugs, and provide random testing for both drugs and alcohol.
